  • In the field of video, the amount of data to be processed is exploding with higher resolutions and frame rates. In particular, with the spread of 5G transmission lines, there is a growing need for low latency in remote control, automated driving, virtual reality, and other applications.To meet these diverse needs, TMC has developed JPEG XS, a visually lossless and low latency mezzanine compression algorithm. JPEG XS is ideal not only for transmission of video content, but also for compression and transmission of high-resolution images in remote sensing. It enables fast and efficient transmission of large-volume satellite and drone images without any loss of image quality. The low latency of JPEG XS is also essential for real-time monitoring and analysis.TMC’s JPEG XS IP can be used in a wide variety of fields, including video production, broadcasting, and telemedicine.

  • LucidEye improves the visibility of unclear images such as those deteriorated due to weather conditions (snow, haze, or fog), and dark images due to backlight or insufficient light intensity. This system is suitable for security, surveillance applications, etc., as well as for improving images recognition rate by AI.

  • Since its standardization of ISO/IEC 10918-1 in 1994, JPEG has been continued to be used as a still image storage format.TMC has developed and commercialized a baseline JPEG hardware IP compliant to the ISO/IEC 10918-1 standard as a very compact and high-speed compression IP.
